Section 02 / The What

What is Ovo Protein

Egg White Powder (Albumen)?

Simply put.  Its PURE Egg White Powder.

Egg white powder is made by removing the moisture from fresh egg whites, resulting in a concentrated and shelf-stable form of egg protein. It retains the same nutritional profile as fresh egg whites, including being fat-free, low in carbohydrates, and rich in high-quality protein.

Liquid egg whites undergo a meticulous and intricate process: they are sprayed into stainless steel cylinders and then exposed to hot air at specific temperatures and pressures. This rapid evaporation of the sprayed droplets transforms them into a solid powder, resulting in the creation of Egg White Powder.

Ovo egg white is heat pasteurized to eliminate pathogens and extend shelf life. From there these powders gets shipped to South Africa and then specially packed for Ovo Protein (Pty) Ltd.
